- The Carpet Festival “Rabati” - International Carpet Festival “Rabati” in scope of Check in Georgia was held in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia. The festival also featured a conference “A Carpet - as the Cultural Heritage and Memory,” organized by the State Silk Museum in collaboration with Georgian State Museum of Folk and Applied Art. The conference brought together specialists from Georgia and eight foreign countries(9-12 June, 2016). - Ravel/Unravel: Hidden Process– in the framework of international contemporary art event Artisterium X, the State Silk Museum represented itself and co-orga- nized exhibition in cooperation with American artists’ group and curator Lydia Matthews at Tbilisi History Museum (November, 2017). In addition, the museum is open to host exhibitions of different local and international artists, such as: - The Book of Patterns – solo show of visual artist Tamar Chabashvili (March, 2016). - Hybrid – solo show of German artist Karin Odendahl, including her reflections and interpretations of the State Silk Museum and its collections (September-Oc- tober, 2018). Projects interconnected to the various directions of the museum. The various working directions of the museum are also interconnected in some of the recent projects. For example, the two residency projects implemented in collaboration with GeoAIR in sum- mer 2018, as part of Art Prospect Project supported by CEC ArtsLink, included hosting contemporary artists, researching specific aspects of the State Silk Museum and silk in Georgia, organizing lectures, workshops and exhibitions: - In June 2018, museum’s residency program hosted artist Tatiana Fiodorova from Moldova. As part of the museum’s summer school program, she conducted a workshop with 4 local artists about the creation of artist’s books concerning the 133
